Seeing Spots

I’ve got to admit — I am absolutely NOT a polka dot kinda girl. But this season when new clothes have started to come out and there are all these really cute colored polka dot blouses, shoes, and pants — I’m a bit hooked.

Pointed toed flats with polka dots are perfect for a transitional pattern into fall. How precious would those shoes be paired with colored corduroy skimmers and a silky blouse! They are also a great way to spice up a basic outfit with jeans and a solid top. To make them have a more “bad girl” feel, pair them with cargo pants and a tee. Easy way to add that feminine touch to any outfit.

Dots on dots on dots. Personally, this is even a bit risky for me. You’d have to be so careful pairing spotted shorts and blouse. The dots should be almost exactly the same size and either the same colors or colors flipped like in the picture. I think that outfit would be so cute with black gladiators or heels for a day/nighttime look, but keep the sizes all similar so it doesn’t look like one big eye trick. Keep the shoes, bags, jewelry, hair INCREDIBLY basic. This is one way to really overkill an outfit.

Dotted nails are a really easy way to bring that fun touch to any outfit without worrying about clashing prints or over killing with the patterns. Try red with a few white dots or even navy with a few red dots. Super cute for fall.
